The Beast-09 finished

Got this guy done so now I am painted and ready for 25 point matches. Well technically I have 34 points painted if I add back into the army the destroyer I dropped. So getting up there points wise. Its also interesting to paint everything I get for an army as I get it. Makes me sad to see so much 40K stuff with no paint in my 40K collection.

These khador warjacks are a blast to paint after you get going. Right now I would say he is about half done.

The Beast lives!

As you can see I never got paint started on the beast there was just no inspiration with the missing parts but it makes for a nice way of seeing what was missing and is not installed on him.

 As you can see they also sent me the hull piece that was a bit misshapen and the new one is an excellent example of what white mettle casting can do it is sharp and as close to perfect as I have ever seen.  The down side to that is I all ready installed the old one and it is pined in there quite well if i do say so my self. So I think I will have to make my self a wreck marker. It comes up in games a lot so it is time to get one done. 

Unleashing the Beast - 09... soon?

Well after all most 3 weeks I finally got an update from privater press. If you check there mispick page they now warn you that it is con season and they are backed up with mispack's. On the bright side they give you an email address to ask what is going on with your request. So I dropped them a line Two days later I got  got a reply telling me that they were not sure what was taking my request so long but they they were going to make sure it happens soon.

So in the end my ticket was updated to "in progress" and i decided to start building up the Beast-09

This is as far as I can go with the part I have right now. The thing that I will warn people of and it will be something that any one in the hobby will all ready know but PIN everything. It is so important with large mettle models like this with his small legs and heavy top I even pined the legs and they have large plugs to hook into the groin holes.

any way off I go to prime this guy up and I hope I will get the rest of him in soon. 

Unleashing the Beast - 09...

Well I was excited to start this project the Beast-09 has a rule affinity Sorscha and seance I also have an affinity for her I just had to get him into my army. So as I was at stomping grounds last night to play a few games with my brother in law  I picked one up and added him to my collection.

After I got home I cracked open the box he came in and started sorting parts he is a large hunk of older metal model. As I was going over the pieces it hit me that I could not find the head. Then I could not find the right shoulder. Then I could not find his smoke stacks. At this point I was getting pissed missing something I can see occasionally we are all human but four parts in a box that only contains fifteen or so is not right. There was also a slight miscast on the hull that normally I would give a pass and just re sculpt or paint as damage but i was not happy with the quality over all.

So I went to http://privateerpress.com/warmachine/ and quickly enough found http://mispack.privateerpress.com/  It was easy enough to use so that helped me calm down a bit but we will see how they react to my complaint and i will keep the internet updated on how it goes as things happen. Right now I have high hopes they will fix this quickly.
