Mass progress on Imperial fists

 So a wile ago I was given an air compressor and an air brush I am still learning to use it but at least so far it makes a damn good tool to lay on nice smooth layers  to bring up yellow from black the first two shots are of the base "Heavy goldbrown" vallejo game color number 72.151

 these other two pictures are the same models with a layer of "sun yellow" vallejo game color number72.006 

Sternguard squad #3 Part:1 first five finished

I knocked these out a little wile ago when a snow storm had knocked out my power they are all magnitised so I can swap in combie weapons or back down to normal bolters to keep them cheep on points.

Sternguard Sargent for the second squad

Currently I am working on some easy weathering I can go back over most of my army with to age them with. But as a test I am going to Finish my second squad of stern guard with the weathering in place then I will take what I learn and go back to my all ready finished models.

So far I tryed to make some bullet hits by painting on small batches of black with streaks of black away from them then adding some boltgun to the center followed by some mournfang brown then blazing orange in very small amounts to give some age to the hits

after that I sponged abaddon black on all the yellow plates

then finally I made up some weathering powder out of dark brown artist pastels and applied it liberally with my stippling brush.

I like it but if any one has suggestions I am open to new ideas    

Imperial Fists

This is my sternguard squad they get used in conjunction with lysander in a landraider most of the time so that they can pop out and blast what should be an unsuspecting target that was just shot out of there transport by something long range such as a predator tank. if the longer range of other squads fail this one has 2 meltas to do the job. when this happens most of the time i can't wipe out the squad I am attacking with shooting. But I can charge with lysander the sternguard and also the bike squad that is meant to be close by. Its worked well for me so far
