500 points of orks all finished

After finishing the warboss yesterday I finaly have the base of my orks done. Now its on to expansion!

Frosted Blood angels fixed!

As you can see this is the same squad I showed you a little wile ago that was all frosted up from sealing them. All I did to fix them was apply olive oil to any of the places that got frosted with the valspar flat sealer. After it sat for about 2 hours I ran them under hot water to get most of the olive oil off. Then I let that for a few days before washing them with mild dish washing liquid  to get the last of the oil off of them. Let that dry totally and you can re seal them with spray sealer again.

You can still see some texture in the paint where the frosting was bad but it is all most impossible to see when they on a table and not under close inspection. Also there are some places where washing them and rubbing them has taken some of the layers of paint off and you can see some red where it should not be but its a lot better in my mind then the frost that was there before.    

Warboss part: III

This officially finished my 500 points of orks.  I don't love this warboss model but it's ok and he is what I needed to build the army but at some point he will get switched out for something else I am sure.

Custom Tau battlesuit

For a little wile before I gave up on the tau I was going crazy making my crisis suits more interesting. they poses you can get from the kit are a little limited so I took to hacking them apart and well this is what I came up with.

Frosted Blood angels

As you can see I was playing with painting up my assault squad as blood angels it did not feel right to have them as imperial fists to me but I like options and had them around so this is the way I went.

As you can also see they frosted badly when I was sealing them so this is my warning to everyone DON'T buy and use valspar paint or sealer the spray has been horrible from the start it never sprayed correctly the cone of spray was erratic and after you use it you have to clean the spray head or it seals its self shut. But I can deal with that. This frosting is something else entirely. I shook the can for about 2 minutes like I normally would I sprayed in the basement like I normally would. The only thing I can think of is that is is much more humid outside then normal but the basement is air conditioned and felt much like any other day.

So back I go to my krylon clear flat.         

Tau hammer head

I went with a different paint scheme on this hammer head and if i still had the army in my possession this would be striped and repainted it is just horribly jarring and disjointed.  

Khador winter guard part: I

I started on my winter guard finally about half of the base coat of paint is done and I did the green stuff for the bases today. they need a lot more work but I am happy with the progress.
