Khador Conquest part: IV

Painting large models is certainly time consuming but hear is the bit of progress I have made recently I am up to the shade of red I like so I just need some highlights and the red will be done. Still lots to get finished  but a few more sessions and we should be all ready for the tabletop.

Sternguard Sargent for the second squad

Currently I am working on some easy weathering I can go back over most of my army with to age them with. But as a test I am going to Finish my second squad of stern guard with the weathering in place then I will take what I learn and go back to my all ready finished models.

So far I tryed to make some bullet hits by painting on small batches of black with streaks of black away from them then adding some boltgun to the center followed by some mournfang brown then blazing orange in very small amounts to give some age to the hits

after that I sponged abaddon black on all the yellow plates

then finally I made up some weathering powder out of dark brown artist pastels and applied it liberally with my stippling brush.

I like it but if any one has suggestions I am open to new ideas    

Big Mek with shokk attack gun

It felt like time to do some orks and so I decided to complete  my mek finally. I decided to skip the rust I have done to most of the rest of the army with the thought being that the Mek would be keeping the bets bits for himself and his gear would most likely be newer any way.

I will need to reseal him at some point as the stuff i used on him gave him a bit of a shine. it is not horrible but needs to be toned down when I get some more dull coat.

I finished up my Widowmaker Marksman. Just a hand full more models and I will be finished with my Khador army 

Imperial fists Tactical squad two

This is my other  Imperial fists Tactical squad the arms on the Sargent are both swappable to any of the options in the codex but I really like the look of the power ax so that is what I leave on him most of the time.  

Black Templars Tactical squad

This is my Black templars Tactical squad at one point I was going to make he army a mix of Imperial fists and black templars seance then it has turned into a all most totally Imperial fist army but I like to keep them around to switch things up occasionally.

I was trying to find of my older units on my own page hear the other day and found that I skipped a lot of the basic units and also some of the units i finished wile writing the blog never got posted when they were finished so for the next little bit I will be fixing that so that I finally have them all cataloged properly.
