Khador Widow makers part: II

I just finished up my Khador Widow makers. I am happy with the way they turned out the different browns work well on them I think. This unit does start to show the worst thing with Warmachine there are only 4 people in the unit and 2 of them are exactly the same. I know that they are supposed to be all about the game and the models come in second but the repeats bother me and it only gets worse with larger units like winterguard. I will need to get in playing some games so I can decide if the lazy model repeats are worth it to play the game.
so lets hope i can get some time secluded with thewarhost.blogspot.com to learn and play the game. For now its Back to my first love 40K and my mistress Warhammer Fantasy.

Khador Widow makers part: I

I all most finished the base coat on the Widow makers today with them done I will have 15 points painted. Now i just need to get some games in.....

Khador Destroyer part: II

Well after taking these pictures as is my normal I have spotted several bad spots in the paint job. But I am calling him done any way he is a bit brighter then his Juggernaut friend sence I washed him with a red wash in lue of my normal black wash. They look nice next to each other I am hopeing to get a game in soon so I will save any family shots for when that happens. Wish me luck.  

Khador Destroyer part: I

I spent some time today painting my Destroyer I finished base coating the whole thing and doing some layering for the red witch you can actually see some what in these pictures. Next time I will get the washes on and some weathering.

Khador Juggernaut part: II

 As you can see i finished my Juggernaut today I could not decide witch set of photos showed it better seance the brighter ones you could see better details but the large plates looked totally washed out and the opposite was true of the darker ones although I still don't think you can see the larger plated properly.

 In both you will see that my model is totally lacking faction marks and i think this picture of my pallet will show you why....

I just cant seem to get it to look correctly so I decided to leave them off for now

well not much finished on this Juggernaut but some of the base coat is finished... that counts for something.

Alot more is finished now but she is still far from done but I am pleased with the frost on her hammer it looks interesting and conveys the feel I was going for. the base is definitely finished . my biggest problem is doing her face I have repainted it three times all ready but it never seems to come out the way I want it

The only thing finished on her at the moment is the red cloth but the red armor is started and there are bases on alot of the rest of her

built up these guys in an evening and and after noon. going to go for an icy snow base for them as it seems faction appropriate. it only took a little green stuff and a few rocks to get what i wanted now lets see if  i can get them all painted up.

Starting warmachine!

Well to tide me over until the starter box is out for 6th edition my brother in law convinced me to start Warmachine witch is an idea that has been tossed about for some time and now seemed as good as ever to get going. it was also my birthday so he got me started with a box

and I supplemented it with a unit seance I am never able to leave well enough alone

So I will have them all built up shortly and then it is on to painting the whole 7 models that go into this army at 15 points.

     It is really kinda nice to only have to paint so few guys to have a whole nice starter army after playing 40K and fantasy for so long heck maby this will start me on other small skirmish games.....
