Coven Throne
I started painting the Coven Throne today. I most certainly have never painted anything with this much detail it is a bit over whelming. so i started simple and put boltgun on the armor of the spirit horde that pulls it then washed them all in a mix of thraka green and asurmen blue. I think I will do one more light wash of straight asurmen blue before I go back after the high spots in white.

Vampire counts: skeletons the return
It's time the vampires got some new blood.... any way I have had these 3 boxes of skeletons laying around for a bit and now they are going to be added to the twenty I all ready have finished( vampire-counts-skeletons )They should be much more threatening in a large block. At least that is what i am shooting for.

Orc Nob's part: II
Some days I just go crazy and paint until things are done. That is what happened today. I still need my warboss a trukk and 2 deffcopters to make my 500 point army but these 5 guys are a nice leap towards the finish line.

Terrain refurbishment part Four
Some trim has helped add a bit to these very old buildings I think I will punch out some rivets to add on to the trim. Also I believe it needs some cracks in the walls and perhaps some built holes before paint. But the pile of junk in the center is still me favorite part of this piece it is just not 100% game friendly as guys don't all wise stand easily on it. You can't win em all tho.

orcs update
This is what I have gotten done today just a little base coating and base work they look really terrible but most everything I paint starts like this. lets just hope I have time to get them to look at least as good as the boys before the first game of the league.

Dakkajet part: II
The jet needed a lot of little things.
a nice maw of spikes on the intake
rivets for all the plates and some odd looking cobbled together rocket engines.
and of course the boys need a way to get back on the ground. not that the skids would last threw an ork landing of course.
last but not least the pilot and his grot assistant.

Deffkoptas part: I
I decided to try playing in an escalation league that is starting soon at my FLGS and I need these 2 Deffkoptas ready to go asap also a warboss and a truck and about 4 more nobs..... guess I need to get painting.
again there are three colors so they do make minimum standards... but there not even green and that would be just wrong to field them as is.

6th edition escalation league
I decided to try my hand at keeping up with an escalation league. Seance I all ready have my imperial fists painted now I went with orcs
This will be my 500 point base. I am excited seance there is alot more interesting stuff then what I would have in a space marine army.
Today is the first day so look forward to some reports and hopefully pics of the other army's people are starting
Note: the picture above this was taken on 6/22/2012 when I decided to start this project I am hopeing they are all painted by today...

Zone mortis board part: I
This is my take on the Forge World Zone mortis game board. It is still very "work in progress"
but after discovering a new tool that will speed things up (humm I might have to paint it red...) I am back on tract to finish this project.
This paper cutter is what will finally give me the speed i need to actually see some progress .
first off I needed to set a size for the trim on all the walls I went with 3/8" if you were wondering how many strips it will take to do this whole project the answer I am currently dealing with is simply "more" if you think you cut enough multiply that by two perhaps three and then you might be close.
this is the first stack.....
Then I needed this stack..... and it looks like I will still need at least one more stack to do the sections I have
The floor needed something interesting on it i went with 1" squares again if you think you have enough just keep cutting this pile did 7 tiles but just barely and only after I decided that the really large open spaces would go uncovered and I would simply paint something interesting in them.
The squares where not enough for the floors seance you are looking at them all the time so I decided they all need drains so I sliced down some granny grateing and started glueing.
This is what I ended up with after all my work today it may not look like much but I can start painting them as soon as they dry and that is a huge step forward so I am pleased.

Dakkajet part: I
I started with a P-47d thunderbolt in 1:48th scale it seemed about the right size
added some proper guns i cant seem to get a proper shot of them close up the white on white does not come out well. but after i start painting it should be nice looking there are holes drilled in the outer larger tube to look like air coolers
lots of ork glyphs and armor plates added to make it look orky
its starting to look finished but i am not 100% happy. i just cant decide where to add somthing to finish it.
one last shot for..
